David Sobolov is the voice of Gorilla Grodd on CW's The Flash, Drax on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series on Disney Plus, Upgrade and Vin Ethanol on Cartoon Network's Ben 10, and the English voice of Kaido on the legendary anime series One Piece.
He's voiced major roles in the Transformers franchise three times, first as Depth Charge (Beast Wars), then Shockwave (Transformers Prime), and as Blitzwing in the 2018 feature film Bumblebee.
David has played roles in over 80 video games, most notably Volibear (League of Legends), Lobo (Injustice), Terrorblade (Dota 2), Dr. Fate (Injustice 2), Black Knight (Fortnite), Jul M'Dama (Halo 4), The Arbiter (Halo Wars), Azmodan (Heroes of the Storm and Diablo III), Lt. Vasquez (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare), Black Bishop (Vader Immortal), Dr. Garret Bryson (Mass Effect 3), Malphite (Legends of Runeterra), Rios (Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel) and Bumbleblast (Skylanders).
In feature films, in addition to Blitzwing in Transformers Bumblebee, you'll hear David as The Centurion in Alita: Battle Angel, as multiple Klingons in Star Trek Into Darkness, and as one of the Reavers in Serenity.
If you listen closely you’ll hear him performing additional voices in Marvel's What If? on Disney Plus, and in the Star Wars feature films Rogue One, The Last Jedi and Solo.
Classic roles include Tatsurion the Unchained (aka Bob) on Kaijudo, Robocop on Robocop Alpha Commando, Lord Tyger on Spider-Man Unlimited, and Spookie Jar on Sabrina: The Animated Series.
David studied acting with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.
